POLICE were called to a fairground after reports of disturbance involving teenagers on Saturday evening.
Residents raised concerns after reporting seeing officers and police vans arrive at Jubilee playing fields, off Church Road in Rainford where a fun fair was being staged following the village's Walking Day.
Officers confirmed an arrest was made but played down the incident.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to the fairground on Church Road at 4.50pm on Saturday following reports of a small disturbance involving two teenage girls.
"A 13-year-old girl was initially arrested on suspicion of common assault.
"She was later released and no further action has been taken."
