RESIDENTS were in party mood on Saturday for a community celebration with their neighbours.
People living in Lilac Avenue, Knutsford, held a street party last year for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and it was such a success they decided to do it again.
Resident Rachel Bishop said: “Dozens of families attended the event despite the rain, including the Mayor of Knutsford, Cllr Andrew Malloy.
“The party was just for fun, to celebrate our local community. We held our first street party was last year for the Royal wedding and it was so much fun, we decided to make it an annual event.”
The street party was arranged by a group of residents, and included face-painting for children, a barbecue and a live band.
