A MAN who was caught on camera jumping on the bonnet of a car near Whiston Hospital appears to have targeted a number of other vehicles.

Dashcam footage, which went viral on Facebook, showed a man deliberately fall on to the front of a health care assistant's stationary Renault Clio on Shaw Lane in Whiston.

The man stayed on the bonnet for a few seconds before being moved by the woman's boyfriend and running off.

Now new footage has emerged, taken from inside the hospital, which shows that the incident was one of a series that happened on Tuesday evening.

The video shows the same man in the road obstructing cars, including jumping on three bonnets. During the four-minute video, the man is also seen sitting in the road, with cars having to manoeuvre around him.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We received reports of a 30-year-old man throwing himself on to car bonnets in Whiston on Tuesday, 11 June, in Shaw Lane at around 7.30pm.

"The man was spoken to by officers and an ambulance crew attended to assess the man who was well enough to return home."
