PARTINGTON resident Winifred Bolton has celebrated her 105th birthday.
Winifred, a resident of Trafford for 36 years, was surrounded by family and friends from near and far for her special day.
She received a telegram from the Queen, and a visit from the Mayor and Mayoress of Trafford.
Joanne Lingard, from Daffodil Home Help, who helped to organise the birthday party, commented: ‘Win is a fantastic lady who has led an interesting life. It is an honour to support her in her later years.’
The Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Rob Chilton, said: ‘I was thrilled to be invited to visit Winifred at her party.
"We had a brew together and a good chat. She put her long life down to two things - breathing, and always following her nose. It was a good answer to a rather silly question on my part.”
