AN Olympic bronze medallist is set to cut the ribbon on the new Aldi store when it officially opens its doors on Thursday, June 6.

The new branch in on St Helens Retail Park on Peasley Cross will open its doors at 8am and will be the third Aldi in St Helens.

Exclusive offers will run throughout opening day and the first 30 customers through the door will receive a complimentary bag of fresh fruit and vegetables from Aldi’s fantastic Super 6 range.

To celebrate the store opening, Store Manager Emma Wallace and her team will be joined by Olympic bronze medalist, Joel Fearon, to cut the all-important ribbon on opening morning.

Emma, said: “We can’t wait to finally open the doors to the new store in Peasley Cross. It’s set to be a special day as we’ll be celebrating the opening of Aldi’s third St Helens store in Peasley Cross and having local Olympic hero, Joel Fearon join us will make it a morning to remember.”

Bobsleigh star, Joel Fearon, added: “I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store in Peasley Cross. It will be a great way for me to give back to the local community and a way for me to thank Aldi for its endless support of Team GB.”

The new store will open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm.
