TOWN CENTRE shoe store Clarks is set to reopen as an outlet branch following a refurbishment.
Clarks on Church Street is set to shut its doors in the coming month.
However, the store will reopen as an outlet store, meaning it will stock remaining stock from neighbouring stores.
A spokesperson for Clarks said: "We’re delighted that our St Helens store will undergo an exciting transformation to become a Clarks Outlet store.
"The store will be closed for a few days in July while the refurbishment takes place and when it re-opens, customers will be able to shop from our Outlet range in a brand new shopping environment.
"We constantly review our store estate to ensure that we have the right type of stores, located in the right locations and stock the right product to provide the right offering for our customers.
"Customers can continue to shop from our full range of products online and at our nearby stores in Warrington, Widnes, Wigan and Liverpool.”
