NOW that the roadworks at Windle Island have been successfully completed on time and without any mishaps I feel that the time has arrived for the council to turn their attention to solving a serious problem.
It exists at the cross over from Tesco over on to Bleak Hill Road, which was a problem of their making in the first place.
It is my considered opinion that the construction of a deceleration lane leading into Tesco for traffic coming from Rainford with a similar acceleration lane leading out in the direction of St Helens could go some way towards easing the situation.
