I NOTICED that once again Beecham’s Clock was telling a totally incorrect time.
This clock is part of very little left over from St Helens’ great industrial past and, as such, should be treasured.
Who is responsible for it now?
Shouldn’t the council take some interest in its maintenance?
In the past five years it has often been wrong.
What sort of impression does that give the visitor to St Helens that we can’t even keep an iconic clock that is extremely visible, functioning correctly?
It is not an enormous undertaking but it should be considered a very important one.
