A TOWN centre pub has reopened its doors again shortly after being boarded up.
The Royal Alfred pub on Bickerstaffe Street, St Helens is welcoming customers again, owners Punch Taverns have confirmed.

The pub, situated close to St Helens Central railway station, had been boarded up earlier this year just months after it had relaunched.
However, the pub's doors have been opened again.

Owners Punch said the pub is trading while they consider "long term plans" for the establishment.
Managing director at Punch Taverns, Andy Spencer, said to the Star: "The Royal Alfred pub has reopened and we are thrilled to be back open and trading to the community whilst we consider our long term plans for the pub."
