KIND hearted players from an under 8s rugby team have collected enough donated food to fill 25 bags for people in need.
Blackbrook Under 8s do a lot to give back to the community.
Their latest community event was to install a food collection point at the club and ask for donations from family, friends and visitors.
Just four weeks later the young team have donated more than 25 bags to The Hope Centre full of donated food to help people from the borough in need.
The food bank at the club
Mike Mather, 37, a parent of one of the team and touch line manager for Blackbrook Under 8s, said: "Since the new coaches took over the team in December, the group have done more community stuff and fundraising which is great.
"I work at the Co-op so I suggested to put a food collection bank at the club like we have in the shop and the chairman and committee agreed and in just four weeks we got so much, I thought we might only get two bags full.

"I think the team should be really proud of their hard work as should coaches Andrew Waddilove, Kieron Edwards and Andrew Tucker for making it happen.
"If anyone wants to donate food still then the bank is accessible during the club's opening times."
