The shop opened its doors at the new location on Saturday (May 3).
The Works is a discount retail chain which sells items including books, art supplies, games and stationery.
The new premises have been described as "a bigger, brighter unit in Lagrange Arcade", situated next door to Clinton’s.
Steve Brogan, centre manager at Church Square Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to announce the relocation of The Works to Lagrange in the centre.
"The store is open and trading and has brought its diverse offering of art & crafts, gifts, toys and range of books to the centre, certainly enhancing our existing offer.”
The Star reported last September when a delegated decision had been taken by a St Helens Council officer to approve the relocation.
