POLICE say they seized air weapons from two youths in Prescot on Wednesday.

Officers on patrol received community intelligence regarding youths with air weapons near to the wooded area on Carr Lane, Prescot.

They went to the area and found two 13-year-old boys allegedly in possession of the air weapons in public.

The weapons were seized by officers.

Police say the matter will be subject to an investigation and suspects will be interviewed at a late date.
