A FORMER homeless man who sat outside Tesco in Prescot has left a message for those who came to his aid now he has saved up to give himself a second chance at life.
This picture was submitted in the Prescot Chat Facebook group taken outside the store on the Cables Retail Park.
It said: "To Everyone that took time to speak and even help me over the past six months I would like to say thank you so much.
"I have now got a flat which I move in to on April 26.
"I appreciate all that everyone has done for me.
"Thank you. 2019"
More than 360 people reacted to the news, wishing the man good luck for his future.
Ashley Stone said: "Silver lining at the end for you mate, hope this gives you a new chapter to work with."
Sharon White added: "Aww that’s great news and so good of him to thank everyone he is a lovely polite gentleman and I wish him all the very best."
