Newton-le-Willows railway station
TRAIN passengers are facing delays this morning, Tuesday, after a fire has broken out alongside a railway line.
Lines are blocked following a blaze next to the track between Liverpool Lime Street and Newton-le-Willows.
The fire has involved a quantity of hay and straw.
Train operator Northern say that delays are up to 60 minutes and services are expected to be disrupted until 9.30am.
