A WOMAN and a man have been arrested in connection with an incident where a man suffered slash wounds to his face and body on Sunday morning.
The 29-year-old victim had been at a house in Ellen Gardens, Sutton.
Detectives say that while in the property he was slashed several times to his face and body.
The man left the house and went home before the attack was reported to police.
A 37-year-old woman, from Sutton was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
A 34-year-old man, also from St Helens, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
Both have been released on conditional bail.
