Windle Island
IT is great news that the Windle roadworks should finish early and make our daily commute better.
However, while sat in the usual queue this evening, I noticed what I think is a big mistake in the new road markings.
Approaching Windle on the southbound Rainford bypass, the road now splits into four lanes.
The right hand lane is marked as “A570 Liv B5201”.
Surely this should read “A580 Liv B5201” as the A570 goes straight on into town and the A580 goes towards Liverpool?
This will no doubt cause confusion and probably an accident as drivers unfamiliar with the area suddenly have to change lanes.
It needs correcting ASAP before the road is fully reopened.
