A GROUP of writers have been getting their creative juices flowing to help continue the legacy of much-loved poet and actor Len Saunders.
Writers in residence Sue Gerrard and Ann Ellis recruited a team of wordsmiths to get involved in the project at the Len Saunders Writing Room at Lucem House Community Cinema.
Those involved are meeting at regular sessions to produce works with a view to performing them or having them performed at Lucem House.
Sue says this will be helping to keep alive the legacy of poet and performer Len, who died aged 65 in July 2017.

Poet in residence Sue Gerrard said: "At the Len Banana Evening we raised some funding, and this is being used to provide free writing workshops and opportunities for writers from the town.
"The workshops will be led by myself and the other poet in residence, Ann Ellis, and we will be catering for all styles of writing.
"All the places have now been filled and the first performance will be at Lucem House as an introduction to the classic film ‘Oliver Twist.’
This is on Wednesday, May 15 at 2.15pm."
