FORMER snooker world champion Ken Doherty will return to Parr Conservative Club for an exhibition this summer.

The Darlin' of Dublin will arrive in St Helens on Saturday, July 13 to perform the exhibition.

Doherty, now also known as a pundit on the BBC's snooker coverage, was crowned world champion in 1997.

The Irishman also finished runner-up in two other World Championships and has also been a finalist in three UK Championships and twice in the Masters.

The exhibition takes place at Parr Conservative and Workingmen's Club on Broad Oak Road Saturday, July 13, with doors open from 6.30pm.
