ST Helen’s own Johnny Vegas and his beloved mum Pat aka Ma Vegas are set to appear on our TV sets this Saturday on All Round to Mrs Brown’s.
Thatto Heath comedian and actor Johnny, whose real name is Michael Pennington, will be appearing on the BBC One spin off show of Mrs Brown’s Boys alongside his mum Pat Pennington.
The cheeky pair have released some pictures ahead of the show airing at 9.10pm on Saturday, April 13, which will also include appearances by Clare Balding, Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing.
Johnny said: “Another Star is born, there’s the St Helens Star and now there is Pat Pennington.
“She has always been funny, but it was surreal and great being on the stage with my mum.
“She honestly doesn’t realise how funny she is and she says she is nervous...but saying that she also hasn’t stopped telling people about it either.
“She really put me in my place on All Round to Mrs Brown’s, I hope everyone tunes in to watch her,
“After the show everyone said you should put one together with you and your mum.
“I hate watching myself back on anything I do but I’ll be watching it on Saturday just to see how funny she was.
“Like I said a star is born.”
Pat, 81, added: “I thoroughly enjoyed making my TV debut on Mrs Brown’s Boys.
“I can’t remember a word I said, as I was so nervous, but the cast and production staff were wonderful and made me feel really special.”
Catch All Round to Mrs Brown’s at 9.10pm on Saturday on BBC 1.
