A WARNING has been issued after reports of a "suspicious" man knocking on the door of a property.
It is believed a man knocked at the door of a property on Mulberry Avenue, Eccleston on Sunday (April 7) expecting an elderly woman resident to be on her own.
However, when a visitor, a younger man answered the door they made off.

A report was made to the police after the incident and residents are asked to be wary.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "A report that came in at 8.15pm stating a man knocked at the door of a resident at around 7.15pm which the member of the public found to be suspicious.
"There was no suggestion the man made an attempt to enter a property."
