HGV driver in hospital after suffering 'medical episode' leading to kerbside crash
A HGV driver has been taken to hospital after suffering a "medical episode" and hitting the kerb on St Helens Linkway.
North West Ambulance Service were called shortly before 3pm to reports that a man who was driving a HGV had hit the kerb close to McDonald's on the roundabout.
A rapid response vehicle and ambulance attended and confirmed the man had suffered a "medical episode".
He has been taken to hospital.
The incident has caused traffic delays on St Helens Linkway.
