A MUM-of-three has turned her dreams into reality by launching her own yoga studio in Prescot.

Lyndsey Jordan, from Eccleston Park, turned to yoga to help with her anxiety and realised that it made her happier than her career in education.

After deciding to train as a yoga instructor, the 41-year-old started teaching the exercise routines.

Now she has opened The Yoga Loft, her own studio and holistic wellness centre on Eccleston Street.

Lyndsey said: "I didn't feel satisfied with my previous job and thought why not finally use my love of yoga to do something I love everyday.

"Then this space came up on the Prescot high street and I just went for it.

"I turned to yoga to help with my anxiety, so that's what I want to help others with and we've even got family and children's classes so children can come and everyone can have a relaxing class together.

"We opened on March 11 and the response has been amazing, I could not have asked for a better response because so far more than 600 people have been through our doors.

"We have a strict no mirror policy as we want people to relax and stop judging themselves and help with concentration, it is about helping ourselves."

The Yoga Loft holds four classes a day ranging from beginners classes to hot yoga, children's yoga classes and family yoga.

Lyndsay added: "Yoga should be more accessible to young and old alike.

"I know my kids are doing yoga now because I want them to be able to use it to help with any anxiety, which is helpful with all the exams and school pressure.

"We also have a wellness centre where we will soon be offering holistic therapies plus acupuncture and massages.

"I hope everyone will come down and try a class and see what you think."

Classes are £8 each and an unlimited month pass is £70.
