A DEVASTATED nurse is hosting a dog walk with a difference, to help save the life of her beloved pet Frank.

Six-year-old King Charles Cavalier Frank was diagnosed with lymphoma last year, breaking the heart of his 24-year-old owner Beck Crawford from Haydock.

He received chemotherapy treatment right away but sadly his owners have now reached the limit covered by Frank’s insurance.

This means future treatment will cost £300 for a course of chemotherapy, which is 12 doses.

Not willing to give up, Whiston Hospital nurse Beck, has organised a fundraising Easter dog walk at Carr Mill Dam on Sunday, April 21, which she hopes, alongside JustGiving donations, will be enough to save her prized pet’s life.

She said: “I was honestly devastated and heartbroken when I heard the news.

“He’s my first dog and a member of the family.

“He’s so special to us and it’s hard to think of life without him so soon because of this.

“We want to make sure that Frank lives his happiest life, so I thought it would be a good idea to host a dog walk for anyone and everyone, with or without a dog, to try and prolong his life.

“People have already been so kind donating money and I just hope people will show up on the day and show Frank that we are all supporting him to fight this.

“We will be starting at Sankey Valley in Haydock then walking to and around Carr Mill Dam.

“Please help, I’m not ready for life without him.”
