A MAN has been stabbed in the face in a town centre nightclub.

Police were called to the Block 1 bar on Bold Street in the early hours of Sunday, March 24, after a 22-year-old man was slashed with a sharp implement shortly after midnight.

The victim was standing on the dancefloor when he was involved in a verbal altercation with a group of men.

He was then seriously assaulted, suffering a laceration to his left cheek which required hospital treatment.

It is believed that the man was left with a gaping wound which required plastic surgery.

Cheshire Police have released CCTV footage of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
