VOLUNTEERS came together for a Spring clean and revealed a shocking litter problem.

Local businesses located in Trafford Park took part in the Great British Spring Clean campaign run by environmental charity, Keep Britain Tidy.

On Friday, the participating businesses kicked off the month-long clean up of their Trafford Park home, often blighted by litter.

The volunteers rolled up their sleeves and collected nearly 40 bags of rubbish from the footpath of Second Avenue.

One business contributing was the DCB Group, which has been operating out of Trafford Industrial Park for 40 years.

The managing director of the DCB Group, Victoria Hart, said:

“We are lucky to have been in Trafford Industrial Park for over 40 years and have seen it thrive and we’re sure we’re not alone in wanting to see the Park be the best it can be, for our staff, our customers and our visitors.

“At the DCB Group we believe in giving back wherever we can and if we all get involved and get stuck in we can make a real difference to our environment for everybody.

“It is vital that we keep our community clean and tidy so it was great to see everyone come together and collaborate to make a difference to our community here in Trafford Village.”
