A 27-YEAR-OLD woman who was arrested in connection with a domestic dispute in which a man sustained "serious stab wounds" has been re-bailed by police.
Police and ambulance crews attended a property at Orchard Court, near Clipsley Lane, Haydock at around 1.20pm on Saturday, January 5 this year to reports of a stabbing.
A 39-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were treated by North West Ambulance Service.
The woman, who sustained head injuries, was taken to hospital for treatment and was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
The man, who underwent surgery, had been arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in connection to the incident but was released shortly afterwards with no further action to be taken against him.
The woman was bailed pending further enquiries.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that the woman has now been re-bailed until April 6.
