YOU hear a lot of complaining from motorists about the state of roads in St Helens because of potholes.
But it also worth raising issues about the state of paths. There are bumps, cracks, holes and dips all over the shop.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stumbled or twisted my ankle while out walking.
It comes to something when the council has been left so short of money by the government that it seemingly can’t afford the repairs.
And it’s particularly galling when hefty council tax bills are dropping through the door.
