A SIXTH form team got to visit the Home of Cricket on a trip.

The senior cricket team of Cowley Sixth Form made the journey to London to visit Lord's.

The bitter cold and rain failed to dampen spirits as 11 members of the senior team, along with staff members Mr Potter, Mr Watkins and Mr Willis visited the famous ground for a tour.

Students spent the day walking around the Lord's grounds, which are steeped in history and charm.

They got to view the extraordinary architecture and fascinating collection of memorabilia at Lord's, including the iconic Ashes Urn, to leave students and staff feeling inspired.

The tour came just before the start of the cricket season and was designed to motivate Cowley’s team before they embark on matches against other colleges.
