FLORAL tributes left outside a crime scene where a mum-of-five was stabbed to death call her "a truly good friend".
More than ten bunches of flowers, some with messages, have been left outside the home on Hignett Avenue, Parr where on Monday, March 11 around 12.50pm officers were called to reports that a woman had been stabbed.
A post-mortem confirmed that 46-year-old Rachel Evans was the victim and had died of multiple stab wounds.
At this stage the incident is believed to be “domestic related”, say police.
Carl Harrison, 46, of Hignett Avenue, Parr faced South Sefton Magistrates’ Court last Thursday, March 14, charged with murder.
He appeared in Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, March 18 and did not enter a plea.
He has been remanded in custody to appear back at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, April 26. A possible trial has been listed for August 5.
Rachel’s family have issued a photograph and paid the following tribute: "Rachel was a loving mother to five boys, a sister and an aunt.
"The family would ask people to respect their privacy at this time."
