The woman was taken to hospital
A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Monday afternoon (March 18).
The collision took place on Dunriding Lane, Eccleston at around 3pm and involved a a Vauxhall Corsa and a woman in her 50s.
Ambulance attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital for assessment.
The junction of Knowsley Road and Dunriding Lane was reopened by 4pm, police said.
The driver stopped at the scene, a spokesman added.
