A MAN charged with the murder of mum-of-five Rachel Evans has appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today (Monday, March 18).
Carl Harrison, 46, of Hignett Avenue, Parr faced South Sefton Magistrates’ Court last Thursday, March 14, charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Crown Court today.
Harrison, who did not enter a plea, has been remanded in custody to appear back at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, April 26.
A possible trial has been listed for August 5.
Police were called to Hignett Avenue, Parr on Monday, March 11 around 12.50pm to reports that a woman had been stabbed.
A post-mortem confirmed that 46-year-old Rachel Evans, from St Helens died of multiple stab wounds.
At this stage the incident is believed to be “domestic related”, say police.
Rachel’s family have issued a photograph and paid the following tribute: "Rachel was a loving mother to five boys, a sister and an aunt.
"The family would ask people to respect their privacy at this time."
