AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been charged after armed police arrested suspects in connection with the theft of a car from St Helens.
The car was stolen in St Helens on Sunday and hours later it was pursued by police through Huyton.
Merseyside Police confirmed an armed response team made two arrests.
An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl were arrested at the scene.
Jamie McClune, 18, of Cassino Road, Huyton has been charged with handling stolen goods; dangerous driving; driving a motor vehicle without a valid licence and driving without insurance.
He has been charged and bailed to appear in court on Wednesday, April 10.
Police added that no further action has been taken against the 15-year-old girl, who has been released.
