EMERGENCY services have been called to a multi-vehicle crash on the M6 this morning, Saturday.

A crash between three of four cars happened on the northbound carriageway between junction 21 at Woolston and junction 21a at Croft.

Police, ambulance services and the fire service have been at the scene.

All vehicles have been moved to the hard shoulder.

The left lane remains closed but traffic is flowing in the other lanes.

No-one has been reported to have been hurt in the incident or trapped inside the vehicles.

Heavy rain has also caused a build up of surface water in the area.
