A DRINK driver who was more than two times over the limit has been banned for more than three years.
Thomas Owen, of Scarisbrick Road, Rainford had 73 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was breathalysed in Wigan on February 27. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
The 26-year-old was disqualified from driving for three years and four months which may be reduced by 40 weeks if he completes a course.
He has also been fined £450, ordered to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £45 and court costs of £85.
Owen was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court yesterday, Wednesday.
