POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of a man in his 30s after his body found on the pavement.
Officers were called to Rodney Street, St Helens shortly before 4.40pm on Tuesday, March 12 2019. The man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The death is being treated as unexplained at this stage, but it is not believed to be suspicious.
Next of kin have been informed, but formal identification has not taken place.
A post-mortem will be conducted to establish the cause of death.
A police spokesman said: "Officers remain in attendance at this time and crime scene investigators will examine the scene."
