A TOWN centre pub has been closed up just months after it had reopened.
The Royal Alfred pub on Bickerstaffe Street, St Helens welcomed customers through the doors last summer after it had been relaunched under new management.
However, the pub, situated close to St Helens Central railway station, has been boarded up again.
Pub chain Punch Taverns, who own the pub, confirmed the establishment's closure to the Star.
Managing director of operations, Andy Spencer, said: ‘’We can confirm that the Royal Alfred pub is closed.
"We are currently considering all options for the future of the pub.’’
