IT’S interesting to see the council raise the tax during times when very few people have any disposable income and local businesses are already suffering due to austerity.
The impact of this tax rise could be that more local businesses collapse causing higher unemployment and fewer people actually paying any council tax.
The amount actually received by the council could very well fall as a result of the tax rise.
