PLANS have been drawn up to create 30 new homes at the site of former flats in Thatto Heath.

The development will consist of a mix of detached, semi-detached and short terraced two and three-bedroom houses along with

some two and three-bedroom bungalows.

The site previously had seven three-storey blocks of flats on it which were demolished earlier this year "due to them being outdated and difficult to manage".

The planning application for the new homes was submitted on behalf of housing group Torus.

Plans added: "We also believe that the proposed scheme will provide a high quality development, which will complement and reinforce the local distinctiveness and character of the area".
