POLICE are hunting a woman who stole cash from an ATM machine after the previous user received an error message.
The theft took place at the cashpoint outside the Spar on Prescot Road on Sunday (February 24).
Police say that at around 9am, a man attempted to withdraw cash from the machine, which is believed to have displayed an error message.
As a result of this, the man then entered the shop.
It is believed that a woman waiting behind in the queue then took cash from the machine and made off on foot.
Police say CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the woman.
