A WOMAN has been ordered to pay £320 after failing to keep the noise down made by a cockerel.
Catherine Hankey, of Greenways, Billinge admitted to not complying with an order issued that she must lower the noise made by a cockerel.
She pleaded guilty to the same charge made against her on consecutive days from August 28 to September 4 last year.
Appearing at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 19, Hankey was ordered to pay costs of £300 and a victim services charge fee of £20.
She was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
The order that the defendant breached was originally made under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
