A DANCE school is jumping for joy after two of its students have won the opportunity to compete for team England in the World Cup.

KL Dance is celebrating after two of its girls got through to the Dance World Cup, which takes place in Braga, Portugal later this year.

Nine-year-olds Atali Cornelia and Lili Grogan will travel to Portugal for the competition after impressing the judges.

Atali got straight through from her audition video of her Commercial Solo, while Lili competed in London against some of the top dancers in the country to win her place in the Acro Solo section.

“We were ecstatic really,” said Kelly Floyd, 30, who runs KL Dance.

“We weren’t expecting it because the competition is so stiff and it was out of the whole country at this stage to get through

“Atali got through with her first video, the judges put her straight through.

“Lili competed in a live audition and won to go on to join Atali.”

It was an extra special day for Kelly, who got the good news about the girls’ progression while she was in hospital giving birth to daughter Isla.

“It was the first time we sent videos,” added Kelly.

“It’s a good opportunity for the girls and I am so proud of them.

“They have been working towards it.”
