A MAN has appeared in court today to deny murdering a fisherman in Whiston.
Nathan Muat, 45, of Upper Parliament Street, Toxteth, pleaded not guilty at Liverpool Crown Court today, Friday, February 8, to the murder of Peter Seeclear.
Mr Seeclear, also 45 and from Toxteth, had been fishing over several days at the Stadt Moers Park and staying in a tent.
Police were called to the park at approximately 5.30pm on Tuesday, October 30 and found him dead.
Muat appeared at court today via video link from Walton Prison and was further remanded in custody to await his trial, expected to last between five to seven days, beginning on May 13.
