ST HELENS has been hit by windy and rainy weather overnight.
A Yellow warning from the Met Office has been issued for the area as winds up to around 24mph have hit the area.
The regional forecast says: "This morning will be wet and windy, but it will gradually turn drier towards noon. The afternoon will be largely dry with bright spells, although the odd blustery shower is possible. Maximum temperature 7 °C."
Yellow wind warnings have also been issued for between noon and 6pm on Friday and Saturday.
