SAINTS skipper James Roby collected the maximum three points towards the Steve Prescott Man of Steel award for his display against Wigan.
The system for voting for the prestigious award has been revamped to become more transparent and reward week-to-week consistency.
Roby, who has been there or thereabouts in the reckoning every year since he last won the award in 2007, had an outstanding round one.
He even put the icing on the cake of a top-drawer performance by grabbing the late match-sealing score where he used brains, bravery and brawn.
Powerhouse prop Luke Thompson earned the two points for the second place, while Wigan wing Liam Marshall collected the one-pointer.
