AN appeal is underway after a 4x4 car crashed into a parked van on Friday night.
Police were called to Rivington Avenue in Windlehurst at around 11.45pm after a Mitsubishi Shogun collided with a parked Vauxhall Movano van.
The occupants of the Shogun are believed to have made off on foot and enquiries are ongoing to find them.
Merseyside Police are treating the incident as a "fail to stop road traffic collision".
Damage was caused to the van but no injuries were suffered.
