TWO policewomen were taken to hospital after a crash last night, Tuesday.
They were on their way to attending an incident of "suspicious circumstances" at around 8.45pm when they were involved in a collision with a blue Ford Fiesta on Warrington Road in Prescot.
Paramedics were sent to the scene to assess both officers before they were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The male driver of the Fiesta was uninjured.
Warrington Road is currently closed between the Cables Retail Park roundabout and St James Road with drivers advised to travel different routes
An investigation into the incident has been launched and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
