TWO suspects who were arrested by police on suspicion of drugs offences have been released under investigation.
As reported last Friday, police seized a large amount of cash from a flat in Prescot as part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing.
Officers carried out a search of a flat on Eccleston Street, Prescot as part of their investigation.
As a result a large quantity of cash was seized by officers under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
The property was searched after a 34-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman had been arrested following a 'stop check' of a vehicle on Tuesday (January 15) following the recovery of cannabis.
It has been alleged the driver had cocaine in their system after the vehicle was stopped on Knowsley Lane, Knowsley Village.
Today (Monday, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "Both of those arrested have been released pending further investigation."
