A KIND-hearted seven year old boy who has been growing his hair for a year has had 8 inches cut off to help make a wig for children with cancer.

Cass Flynn from New Bold was inspired to grow his hair past his shoulders after watching a Youtube video where they mentioned The Little Princess Trust.

Since then he has been growing his hair and on Saturday, January 12 he had eight inches cut off at Innovations in Sutton.

He’s already raised £400 towards the making of the wig and is hoping to amass even more by sharing his story.

His proud mum Kim Flynn, 43, said: “We are really, really proud of Cass. He’s got a really big heart and always wants to help others.

“It would mean the world if others can donate to such a nice cause too

“It was lovely when he came to us and off his own back decided to do this.

“For someone so young it’s really thoughtful and has made us beam with pride.

“I hope he looks back on this and feels really proud of himself.”
