IN response to ‘What Control’ (Star, January 10).

This letter states that we should support a second referendum so that more young people have a chance to overturn Brexit.

Why would a young person wish to do this I ask?

Would it be to sustain the ever increasing numbers of migrant labour flooding into every town and city in this country?

The very effect of which is to suppress wages for everyone including young people.

Many of them are stuck on the cycle of minimum wages and zero hours contracts.

A record number of young people are forecast to be living at home with their parents into middle age as they cannot get mortgages due to all of the above.

So why on earth would a young person want to stop Brexit?

I’m yet to pose this question and hear a concise and sensible answer.

Companies are terrified that if we do Brexit, the flow of cheap labour will dry up and then British people may eventually find themselves in a position to bargain for better pay and an end to zero hours contracts.

Migrants, who themselves are being exploited will work under these terms.

The argument against Brexit on behalf of young people is complete nonsense.
