A PLANNING application has been submitted seeking to create 30 houses at the site of a former block of flats.
The application, submitted on behalf of Torus, are asking for permission to build the development on Springfield Road, Thatto Heath.
The cleared site previously had seven three-storey blocks which were demolished earlier this year due to being "outdated".
Plans say the "new proposed scheme is for 30 new dwellings comprising a mix of detached, semi-detached and short terraced two and three bed houses along with some two and three bed bungalows".
Plans say the proposed type and mix of housing "has been based on local housing demand requirements".
The application adds: "This scheme is for 100 per cent affordable units, in a mix of shared ownership and affordable rent".
Standard consultation on plans is until Monday, January 7, 2019.
